Installation Guide for Cattle Grids:
Thank you for choosing our cattle grid for your livestock management needs. Follow these step-by-step instructions to ensure a successful and efficient installation.

Installation Steps:

1. Excavation:
-
Dig a pit to accommodate the depth of the cattle grid. The depth of the pit needs to be deep enough to accommodate the grid plus the required depth of sub base material.
-
And drainage to the pit if required
-
Compact the sub base material to provide a stable foundation.
2. Grid Placement:
-
Carefully lower the cattle grid base sections into the pit. The base can now be assembled in the pit
-
Check for levelness and make necessary adjustments.
-
Once the base is assembled and level, the top bar sections can now be lowered into the base and bolted down, completing the grid assembly.

3. Backfilling:
-
Backfill the pit around all four edges of the grid, securing it in place. Use suitable material such as gravel or hardcore and consolidate
-
Compact the backfill material to prevent settling.
-
At this stage, concrete can be placed around the outer perimeter of the grid if you wish. This will help stop the road surface sinking on both leading edges of the grid, causing a ramp up to the grid. This is optional.
4. Finishing Touches:
-
If your cattle grid has removable side rails, slot them into the sockets provided in the base of the grid.
-
Conduct a final check for levelness and stability.

5. Optional Features:
-
If applicable, install any optional features such as stock-proof side rails, gates or pedestrian grating.
6. Maintenance Considerations:
-
Familiarise yourself with the maintenance requirements outlined in the product documentation.
-
Regularly inspect the cattle grid for any signs of wear or damage.
